The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorized to conduct the many examination . list below

Some Examination Details Below:-

Civil Service Exam(CSE):-
The candidate must be an Indian National
having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or B.Tech. exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of   21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

Eligibility:-
The Civil Service Exam is conducted for IAS and IPS..
>> The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if general, 21-33 years if OBC and 21-35 years if SC/ST..
>> Candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized institute..
>> General candidates are allowed a maximum of 4 attempts..for OBC the limit is 7 and for SC/ST/PD there is no limit..


Indian Engineering Service(IES):-
The candidate eligible must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

 Eligibility:-
>> candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years, 3 and 5 years of age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively..
>> Candidate must have completed his/her B.Tech/B.E. in any one of the following streams :-
> Mechanical Engineering
> Electrical Engineering
> Civil Engineering
> Electronics and Comm Engineering                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                             Combined Defence Service(CDS):-
The candidate must be an Indian National having Either appear for the final Graduation Degree or B.Tech. exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Eligibility:-
 Male candidates can apply for IMA, AFA, NA and OTA and female candidates can apply only for OTA. The education qualification for applying in CDS is as follows:

  • AFA: Candidates willing to apply for Air force academy should have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with a degree from recognized university or bachelor degree in engineering /technology. Women candidates can not apply for Air force academy.
  • IMA: Aspirants willing to apply of Indian military academy through CDS 1 2014 examination should have a degree from recognized university.
  • NA: Aspirants applying for Indian naval academy should have engineering degree from any recognized university or institute
OTA: All other men candidates as well as women candidates applying for Officers training academy should have a degree to qualify for minimum educational qualification required by UPSC to fill application form of CDS 1 2014    


Special Class Railway Apprentice(SCRA):-                                                       The SCRA entrance pattern in entrance examination comprises written test in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, General Knowledge, and Psychological Test (Mental Ability). The selected candidates are called for an interview, which is followed by a medical examination. The standard of syllabus is that of Class XII (CBSE equivalent). The notice for the examination, along with form and syllabus Mathematics, Physics ,Chemistry , English language is brought out by the UPSC around the months of June-July. According to the new rules issued by the Ministry of Railways, the exam is now conducted once every two years.


The selected candidates undergo a four-year rigorous training programme in Mechanical Engineering, for which the Institute has a Memorandum of Understanding with BIT, Mesra, Ranchi. The semester system of BIT, Mesra is followed, with workshop training sessions during the holidays at BIT, Mesra. The apprentices get a stipend in the scale of Rs. 4000-4400 with Dearness Allowance,making the final emoluments upto Rs. 7400, apart from medical benefits, privelege passes and PTOs.                                                            
Eligibility:-                                                                                                      SCRA Age Criteria: Candidates must have attained lower age limit of 17 years of age & must have completed  upper age limit of 21 on 1st august of year of examination.

Educational Qualification: 
  • 1.) To take admission in this examination, candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination in first or in second division.
    2.) University or board is of govenment approved.
    3.) Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
    4.) Mathematics graduate or students with at least one of the subjects Physics or Chemsitry as their degree level may apply also
